How to choose a crucible?
Electric aluminum melting furnace can choose JBP or JBU series crucibles.
Natural gas aluminum melting furnace can only use JBP series crucibles.
JTBP series are crucibles with spouts, mainly used in dumping furnaces.
Measure the outer diameter and total height of the crucible top on site and find the corresponding model of crucible.
Tell me whether you need to melt copper or aluminum so that I can choose the crucibles for R1 and R2.
Precautions for using crucible
Crucible storage: dry and ventilated place. Do not place the crucible directly on concrete or the floor, but on a tray.
It is prohibited to roll the crucible during transportation.
There is a crucible hanging rope in the packaging box. You can use the hanging rope to hang the crucible.
The crucible base should be flat. It is recommended to choose a suitable crucible base. The diameter of the crucible base should be 20mm larger than the diameter of the bottom of the crucible. The material of the crucible base should be the same or similar to that of the crucible. If it is a flame fur. The base height should be slightly higher than the center height of the flame, and the flame should be absolutely uniform. The flame cannot burn directly into the crucible. The flame should enter the furnace along the tangent direction of the crucible base. If it is a resistance furnace, it is best to completely cover the crucible with the upper and lower resistance wires in the furnace so that the crucible is heated evenly.
Please note that there must be a 1 cm gap on the upper edge of the crucible to allow the crucible space to expand. Do not use tools, just plug the refractory wool tightly.
After the crucible is installed, raise the temperature to 150°C to 200°C and keep it warm for 120 minutes. Then directly raise the temperature to 900°C-950°C until the inner and outer surfaces of the crucible are red and white, keep it warm for 35 minutes, reduce it to the working temperature, and pour in aluminum liquid (if there is no aluminum liquid, aluminum chips can be used instead) 08. When using, the refining slag remover should be added to the center of the crucible to avoid excessive addition and avoid the refining agent overflowing or splashing outside the crucible. These will seriously affect the service life of the crucible.
Clean the aluminum slag on the inner wall of the crucible every day when changing shifts. Too thick aluminum slag on the inner wall of the crucible will inhibit the thermal conductivity of the crucible. At the same time, the expansion rate of aluminum slag is ten times that of the crucible. If the aluminum slag is too thick, it will cause damage when heated. It is easy to break.
When the furnace is shut down, the aluminum liquid in the crucible must be scooped out.
If the furnace is stopped for more than three days, please re-bake the crucible according to the provisions of Article 6.
